Synesthesia

I created this image after watching several animation on synesthesia. The pink lines represent the melody and rhythm throughout the song. The yellow "stars" represent the strong bass in the song and the green rectangles represent the vocals or three different people.

Money Design

I found this five dollar bill from new Zealand and I like it because if its vivid color. I also like that it is not symmetrical and has what looks to be a working man instead of a government official. The small hole on the right side of the bill also makes it unique. It looks to be embossed in several places which makes it hard to copy.

Grids

This is an example of a tight grid painting. It was done by Robert Indiana on September 6, 2009.
This is a example of a loose grid painting . It was created by Mondrian in August 2007. The piece is called Detail of Broadway Boogie Woogie.

Chuck Close

I really liked this picture I found by Chuck Close because I feel like I would hang this up in my room. I like his style that he uses to create portraits and I am surprised that more people do not use this style. I like that the tiny images are each an artwork on their own but together they create a very life like image. I am going to try and create a similar picture using this style.

Repetition of Form

This is the Toyota logo. It is a logo for an automobile company. it represents Repetition of Form because it is composed of three ellipses. These shapes come together to create the final image.

Gestalt 2

I found this poster in a fraternity house. It is a poster they used for Rush one year it represent the Gestalt Principle of Closure. The image is not complete but you can still tell that it is a young man wearing a dress shirt and tie. This is one of the most interesting principles from Gestalt that we have studied.

Andy Goldsworthy

This is one of Andy Goldsworthy's pieces that I found to be interesting. It represents continuity due to the fact that you can't always see the entire root but you associate each section to form a whole. This picture was one of my favorites because it seems like he did not have to do much to create this other than to cover the roots unlike many of his other pieces. I feel like this piece was mainly created by nature and that is why I like it.
